After the Dance depicts a figure folded forward in a quiet domestic interior. The body becomes part of a fragmented space of furniture, patterned fabric and intense fields of colour. Rather than describing a specific narrative, the drawing explores vulnerability, introspection and the psychological relationship between the figure and its surroundings. Layers of coloured pencil, visible marks and partially unresolved forms create a space suspended between observation and memory.
