Laundry Room, Sant Cugat turns an overlooked domestic utility space into a dense and colourful composition. Washing machines, laundry baskets, bottles, tiled walls and piles of clothes accumulate within the drawing. Everyday objects are observed individually but brought together through distorted perspective, overlapping forms and strong areas of colour. The work belongs to Alex Pascual's exploration of ordinary interiors and domestic routines, where functional spaces become subjects in their own right. Drawn in Sant Cugat, near Barcelona, the work records a very specific everyday environment while transforming it through the artist's distinctive use of line and colour.
